Yes ... this really is our water!

Mostly Water Workshop

Thirteen years ago the SLCO did a survey of all the property owners on Skeleton Lake. When asked what was the most important characteristic of the lake, overwhelmingly people answered “the water”.

Our Mostly Water event is based on that response. We believe that the more you know about the water of Skeleton Lake, the longer it will stay as clear and clean as it is.

Join us on Saturday, August 8th at 1:00 p.m. (new time) or the Mostly Water workshop at Camp Kwansind.

John Rice will teach us about the historic relationship between indigenous people and the water.
Jim Dyment will share his knowledge of the special attributes of the water in Skeleton Lake.
Erin Dixon will describe new ways people are protecting lakes around the world.

We would love to have people of all ages attend, but especially you people who may take up the torch in future years. We hope to see all there.

FREE CONCERT!

Enjoy this free "encore performance" in Norvoc Bay from your boat!

Pat Temple & the HiLO Players are back by popular demand and thrilled to be performing on the dock deck at the Temple Cottage, 32 Skeleton Lake Rd. 2, Norvoc Bay.

"We did this during Covid and it was great to get people out, socially distanced in their boats. The weather was perfect, people were swimming, floating on rubber ducks and dancing on pontoon boats. We look forward to bringing the party and seeing you all." Pat Temple

Trivia Note: Pat's grandfather, J.B. Temple (Principal of Northern Vocational in Toronto), founded the Norvoc community in 1932.

Fish caught between Aug 1/25 and Aug 14/26

Open to all ages!

To register, send a photo of your catch along with the type of fish, weight and your name to tonyshevsky@gmail.com by August 14. Include ages for children.

This category-based event wraps up with an awards banquet and free pancake breakfast on Saturday, August 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Skeleton Lake Marina.
